A Heartwarming Match Through Golden Harmony

At Golden Harmony, meaningful relationships are at the heart of what we do and few embody this better than client Til and her companion Mary.

Mary came to Golden Harmony with a heart for service and a love for creativity. A former artist from Ohio, she’s specialized in pottery, acrylic painting, and even mural work. That same care she once poured into caregiving for her mother and volunteering with seniors now shines through in her role as a companion.

Her client, Til, shares that same appreciation for art and connection. Originally from Clinton, NC, Til moved to Cary, NC to be closer to family. She describes her time with Mary as joyful and full of laughter. “Mary is nice and pleasant always,” Til says. “She is a happy person, we laugh together.”

Their days are filled with conversation, reading, activities, and light-hearted games. Til proudly declares herself the Koosh Ball champion. Together, they’ve built a bond grounded in kindness, mutual respect, and shared interests like tennis, golf, and the arts.

Til considers raising a family with her husband her greatest achievement. “The years of love and devotion created many cherished memories,” she says. In her later years, she also found joy and fulfillment through a local art club, where she deepened her skills, built lasting friendships, and explored a passion that stayed with her.

Mary reflects, “I think Til and I are a perfect match. Visiting her always brings a warm feeling.” And Til agrees, offering simple but powerful advice for all relationships: “Be kind. Always be kind.”
