If you have noticed that your loved one is having difficulty walking or driving, keeping up with household chores and management, has become less active and social, or has challenges with personal care needs, home care or companionship services can help. We offer both companion care services and caregiving services, which can be arranged independently of each other, or can be used to complement one another. For both services, we pride ourselves on having a highly-trained and knowledgeable care staff who can help with a variety of needs: companionship, homemaking; personal care; medication reminders; transportation and accompaniment; errands; light housekeeping and more. We typically schedule a complimentary in-home consultation with a registered nurse within 48 hours of your call. During the consultation, we get to know the needs of our clients in order to develop a plan of care and make an ideal care provider match. After the consultation, services can begin immediately. For urgent needs, we can meet a same-day request.

Costs for services vary depending on the needs of each client. Exact service costs are explained during the complimentary in-home consultation.

The minimum depends on the services needed. During the complimentary in-home assessment, our RN will provide additional details after learning more about your unique situation.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and personal checks. Our preferred payment options are ACH automatic withdrawal or credit card.

As a provider of non-medical home care, our services are not covered by Medicare, Medicaid or health insurance policies. Long-term care insurance is accepted and some policies cover the cost of home care services.

Yes, we are licensed by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services as home care agency #HC5068. Licensure provides clients and families with peace of mind, knowing they are partnering with a home care agency that meets the high standards set by the state. To ensure these high standards are met and exceeded, we have a registered nurse on staff, our employees are fully vetted and trained, and client records are safeguarded for privacy.

Yes, all members of our care team are insured and bonded.

Providing the highest-quality care is our top priority, and to achieve this, each member of our team must meet our strict requirements for employment, including criminal and DMV background checks, reference checks, employment history, drug testing, work eligibility, skills assessment, and more . In addition, we seek to hire compassionate, upbeat individuals who have a heart for serving and enjoy creating meaningful connections. Care team members who provide transportation for clients must also have a clean driving record, up-to-date insurance, and a smoke-free vehicle.

After meeting our stringent hiring criteria, each member of our care team attends a mandatory orientation and receives ongoing training through In the Know, a training program specially designed for care providers, as well as continuing education from other industry resources. We are proud to provide comprehensive training that exceeds the minimum state requirements. With ongoing training and education, each member of our care team is thoroughly prepared to meet a variety of client care needs. Additionally, we invest in our care providers with higher pay, benefits, wellness programs and comprehensive team support.

In addition to providing quick, convenient door-to-door transportation to medical appointments, our companion care team members are trained to help be a second set of ears during the visit with your physician, taking notes and helping ensure clients understand any new information related to care.

Let one of our companion team members provide transportation and assistance for errands such as dry-cleaning pickup, groceries, prescription pickup, carry-out meals, grooming appointments for your pets, and more. We can help you purchase tickets to concerts, plays, sporting events, exhibits and more, provide transportation, and even attend the event with you.

We know that home maintenance issues can become more complicated for seniors. From concerns about climbing on a ladder when a lightbulb needs changing or finding the right company for window washing to hiring contractors for plumbing, electrical, or general maintenance, our companion care team members have experience working with contractors and local service providers, and we can serve as a knowledgeable advocate to ensure you are getting the services you need to continue to live in the comfort of home.

Monthly bills and paperwork can quickly overwhelm seniors. Our bonded and insured care companions can help you read and organize your bills, fill out your checks and mail them for timely payment. We can even help set up automatic or electronic payments.

Spending time engaged in hobbies and interests is one of the many perks older adults can enjoy. Our care companions can help by picking up books, movies, magazines or newspapers from the local library or bookstore, or we can provide transportation to help ensure you are able to continue to stay informed and active in the local community.

Our patient care companions are eager to help clients make the most of devices that can help seniors stay in touch with grandchildren who live across the county or to friends who live across town. From computer, tablet and smart phone setup to understanding how to use a new TV or DVD player, we provide personalized training specifically aimed to help older adults harness the benefits of technology.
