Thursday

To kick off a fun-filled weekend, head to Drive Shack in Raleigh, a local driving range where you can kick back, show off your golfing skills and enjoy lunch with your family. 

Pro Tip: This is the perfect place to bring friends or family in from out of town for a fun, entertaining afternoon.

Friday

Venturing into downtown Cary, we would start the day at the newly developed downtown park. This is the perfect place to relax and take in the sights and sounds of the city. 

Next stop: a visit to the local library for a new read. 

Fun Fact: The United States has more public libraries than McDonald’s restaurants

Saturday

Start the day at Chanticleer Café and Bakery before taking a walk around Macedonia Lake. 

We love the tranquil setting of the lake for a peaceful morning, especially if the North Carolina weather is in our favor.

Next stop: Klingspor’s Woodworking Shop. This is perfect for exploring your artistic side and engaging in hands-on activities.

Sunday

End your adventurous weekend by heading to Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve, where serene trails offer the perfect chance to get some fresh air on the last day of the weekend.

These gentle paths are perfect for folks at any age, providing a safe and scenic environment to get those steps in. 

After Hemlock, head to the Greenway at Ritter Park – another well-maintained pathway ideal if you’re looking to stay active.
